Carol of the Bells - video
I don't know if this is waste of energy, but I think as long as it makes people smile it's not! So enjoy the show! More videos here.

Merry Christmas - The Naughty List
"A disgruntled Santa snaps, and begins inflicting physical punishment upon everyone on his naughty list." Vintage look, cool music and Tarantino-like camera angles. A really nice video by Sporadic Idea - shot with a Canon 7D. I really like the look of DSLR-videos and what you can make with it - so enjoy! Merry Christmas!

Jennifer Maestre Sculptures
Jennifer Maestre's beautiful sculptures. "...originally inspired by the form and function of the sea urchin. To make the pencil sculptures, I take hundreds of pencils, cut them into 1-inch sections, drill a hole in each section (to turn them into beads), sharpen them all and sew them together." That sounds easy but I think it's hard work. One of a kind... Great!

Paper Craft Castle
Have you ever heard of origami? I guess this is the greatest paper craft castle I will see in my whole life. It took over four years of hard work for a student named Wataru Itouto from Tokyo to make this happen. It is all made of paper! I am speechless. G r e a t !
Michael Bay vs. Victoria's Secret
So this is what you get when Michael Bay directs a Victoria's Secret commercial.. I don't like it. No. But the music is okay. Kinda.

Light Graffiti - halo
Aïssa Logerot's "halo". For professional light paintings. Great idea.
"A handy light-writing tool, preserving the techniques and gestures that graffiti artists use with spray cans. It is possible to change the color and the brightness of the led to change the graffiti’s styles. If the light doesn’t have enough battery, users simply have to shake it to have energy again."

New York in slow motion
A New York slow motion video by Vicente Sahuc. It's pretty impressive because it was filmed with a Casio EX-F1 camera and not with high end video equipment. Great!
"The shots were done with the casio EX-F1 at 300 fps and edited at 24 fps. You can't choose the quality, so you'll get low definition and strong compression (it's a 700 euros camera...). I was roller skating, this gave the long and smooth travellings. but the most important thing is the stabilization, I used the Steadicam Merlin for that. It's really important. The rollers were important but the steadicam is the key (with the slow motion) of the smooth touch. For the colors, I edited it on Premiere. Transforme the .mov in single frames with Quick Time. And used Photoshop with the "automate" fonction. Then two layers, a black and white and a color with a polaroid effect. Then 50 or 55% opacity on the top layer. And back to a .mov folder with Quik time. And then the sound in Premiere again. But I guess that if you desaturate, contraste and add some yellow on the highlight and midtone, it would be something very close to that."
